About Pho:
Pho originated in the early 20th century in northern Vietnam & was sold at dawn and dusk by roaming street vendors, who shouldered mobile kitchens on carrying poles (gánh phở).
The 24 hours cooked broth for pho is generally made by simmering beef & chicken bones, flank steak, cinnamon, star anise, charred onion, ginger and spices.
Pho is typically served with lots of herbs and various other accompaniments, such as dipping sauces, hot and spicy pastes, and a squeeze of lime.
